Welcome to Lent to Easter Study 2021- Common items for prayerful reflection |
Souper Tuesday in the time of a pandemic
LENT IN PLAIN SIGHT: A DEVOTION THROUGH TEN OBJECTS- Our Lenten devotion and study this year will be using the book, “Lent in Plain Sight” By Jill Duffield. Duffield uses 10 objects: dust, bread, cross, coins, shoes, oil, coats, towels, thorns, and stones along with scripture passages to guide is through the time of Lent. Each chapter constitutes a week and we will devote the Lenten study evening to the chapter associated with the week’s Sunday. Sessions run from 2/24-3/31 beginning with Evening prayer at 6:00pm. Lenten Session at 7:00. The gatherings will be on Zoom. See Below for the Link

Soups
Roasted Cauliflower Soup with Parsley Swirl- From Eating Well, this soup was a hit. The sweetness of the Cauliflower was balanced by the savoriness of the parsley. Give it a try and let us know! Breads Whole-grain Oatmeal bread- I adapted a King Arthur Flour recipe to suit my taste. By making the Oatmeal separate from the flour ingredients, the bread is moist and soft. Enjoy! |
